Al Gore is an American politician and environmental campaigner. He served as Vice President from 1993 to 2001 under Bill Clinton.

Since his college years, Gore has also spoken out for the environment and in 2006 he was featured in An Inconvenient Truth, a documentary about climate change and authored a book by the same name.

In 2007, Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to draw attention to climate change.

In 2013, Al Gore became a vegan aligning his action with his environmental ethics.

It’s absolutely correct that the growing meat intensity of diets around the world is one of the issues connected to this global crisis—not only because of the CO2 involved, but also because of the water consumed in the process.1Loria, J. 2017. Here’s Why Al Gore Went Vegan.
